The WTO Analytical Index: Guide to WTO Law and Practice is a comprehensive guide to the interpretation and application of the WTO agreements by the Appellate Body, panels and other WTO bodies. An updated Third Edition (covering the period January 1995 to September 2011) is now available on the WTO website, accompanied by a new companion publication entitled the “Analytical Index Supplement Covering New Developments in WTO Law and Practice” (covering the period October 2011 to August 2013). Korea files dispute against US

Korea has notified the WTO Secretariat, on August 29, of a request for consultations with the United States on anti-dumping and countervailing measures adopted by the US Department of Commerce on “large residential washers” (large washing machines) from Korea. Korea considers that the use by the US Department of Commerce of a particular methodology (known as “zeroing”) in the final determination of sales at less than fair value in large residential washers from Korea are inconsistent with several provisions of the Anti-dumping Agreement and other WTO Agreements.
