Demystifying Non-Tariff Barriers to India-Bangladesh Trade in Agricultural Products and their Linkages with Food Security and Livelihood

Expected Outcome

This study will identify the NTBs to trade facing by Indian exporters and importers while doing trade with Bangladesh in selected agriculture and related products with particular emphasis on such trade through selected land ports between India and Bangladesh. With this perspective, it would be easier to select policy priorities and action agenda towards eliminating the identified barriers to trade and thereby lead to enhanced access, economic gains and connect for producers and consumers in both the countries. The findings and recommendations are also expected to contribute and facilitate existing discourse on regional value chains and food security.
